Dr. Arthur W. Cooler, MD, FACS, RPVI

Dr. Cooler

Originally a native of Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Art Cooler grew up in Atlanta, GA, then graduated from Medical School at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

After completing his general surgery residency at the University of South Carolina/Richland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Cooler joined Hartsville Surgical Center in 1996 and has been an integral part of the practice since that time.

He enjoys all aspects of general surgery but has a strong interest in vascular surgery and percutaneous interventional and minimally invasive techniques for patients with Peripheral Arterial Disease.

Since his arrival in Hartsville, Dr. Cooler has been active in the community with various organizations and leadership roles at Coker College, the Governor’s School for Science & Math, the Boys and Girls Club of the Pee Dee, The Hartsville Family YMCA, and The Rotary Club of Hartsville.

When not in the operating room, he enjoys traveling, exercise, and all outdoor sporting activities. He is a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Hartsville.
