Dr. Jason R. Dameron, M.D.

Dr. Jason Richard Dameron grew up in Tabor City, North Carolina where he graduated from Tabor City High School in 1990. He initially attended college at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill before transferring to the College of Charleston where he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology.

Dr. Dameron attended medical school in Greenville, North Carolina where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine degree from East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in 2000. He then completed his general surgery residency in 2005 at Greenville Hospital University Medical Center located in Greenville, South Carolina.

Following residency, Dr. Dameron completed a year of specialized fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Dr. Dameron joined Hartsville Surgical Center in 2006, and he is board certified in general surgery. His primary focus is in treating patients' surgical problems with advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques when applicable and appropriate .

He practices all aspects of general surgery including breast, endocrine, skin/soft tissue and gastrointestinal disease as well as hernias and surgical endoscopy.

Dr. Dameron and his wife, Marla, have two children-Andrew and Matthew. He and his family are members of Hartsville First Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
